Shawn Barkley has been a good friend and mentor to me these past few years. I first met Shawn at Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC where he was the Senior Pastor and I served as the Associate Pastor. Our paths have taken us in different directions and I recently visited Shawn, his wife AJ and son Davis at their home in Cincinnati where Shawn now serves as Pastor of Crestview Presbyterian Church.

Shawn invited me to talk about my spiritual pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago for his podcast The Well. We had a fun 20 minute conversation about it and we’d love to share it with you here.

The photo is of the Camino as it enters the western state of Galicia and the ancient village of O Cebreiro. The area of Galicia is thought to be a place steeped in mystical experience and the landscape certainly adds to that intrigue.
